Conformance test
Protocol conformance testing is to select a certain requirement in relevant international standard documents, industry standard documents, and OEM requirements and specifications, and to understand whether the operation of the device under test (DUT) meets this requirement through the test. Including single component testing and system testing.
For in-vehicle Ethernet, this type of test may sometimes consist of thousands of tests (for example, OPEN TC8 defines 899 test cases). Because of the huge amount of tests, they are usually executed in an automated manner.
Performance Testing
Performance testing can usually be regarded as a kind of "stress test", the purpose of which is to observe the performance of the device under test under data transmission pressure.
♦ The relevant international standards are RFC 2544, RFC 2889, etc.
♦ Key indicators include: throughput, delay, packet loss rate, etc.
Network security test
Relying on Spirent’s network security testing experience in traditional fields, it provides the following network security tests for in-vehicle Ethernet:
♦ Fuzzing
♦ Denial of Service (DDos), etc.
